Google Webmaster Tools is very important. Knowing how to use Google Webmaster Tools for SEO is a must.

Tools Any web site can be added here for free. The Google Webmaster Tools provides detailed descriptions of how Google will display webpage pages.

First you have to go to this address, when you go here you will be asked to sign in with your Gmail account. If you do not have a Gmail account then open one because without a Gmail account you will not be able to receive this service from Google Webmaster Tools (completely free). And if so, sign in with your username and password.

Now you can add one or more sites in Google Webmaster Tools. For this, click on the Add a Site name button and click the Continue button with the name of the site you want to add in the next box. Now a page called Verify ownership will appear. From here Google will have to explain that you are the real owner of the site. Here are four ways Google can prove ownership of a site, using any of them.
The frist way is very easy, Upload an HTML file to your own server. Check this checkbox and scroll down a bit to see if there is a download link for an HTML verification code. Download this small file and upload it to the root folder of your site. If you use cPanel, upload the file to your public_html. Now come to the Verify ownership page http://www.webschool.com/googlesomething.html

There is a link like this Click here to confirm the upload of the file and finally click on the verify button to complete the verification.
Menu and submenu:
After completing the verification, you will see some menus on the side. The menus are Dashboard, Message, Search Apparel, Search Traffic, Google Index, Crawl, Security Issue and Ginger Resources respectively. These include Search Appearance, Search Traffic, Google Index and a few sub-menus of crawl menus.
